December Update!

Hi All!

It's December! :) Only 1.5 weeks left until break.

I apologize for the layout of this information. I'm trying to get information out quickly, so it doesn't look "right". I hope to clean it up as the month goes on. ;)

December Dates:

Please check the Principal's Blog to catch any campus updates, like band concerts, school dances, etc.

Friday, December 2: IPR4 ends. Grades are pulled for the progress report today.

Wednesday, December 14: This is the last day I'll accept work for this class for this semester's grading. I've already gone over this with all my classes, and I'll keep reminding them. :)

Friday, December 16: End of Semester 1, Half Day- Early Release at 12:45.

Skyward Reminder/Tip:

I've been trying to train the students NOT to use the "Missing Assignments" section in Skyward, but instead to click on the underlined grade for the current grading period.

The issue with "Missing" is that in order for an assignment to show there, the teacher has to click an extra box. Sometimes, that doesn't happen, for a multitude of reasons.

I highly suggest clicking on each class' average to see individual grades. A lot of those can be corrected, if they're low. Each teacher has different procedures for this.

Classroom Needs:

As you're organizing for the holidays and replacing and upgrading, keep us in mind for the items that still have life in them!  We can use most kitchen items, tools, STEM toys and books, and anything that is job-related for almost any job. :)

As we get into more specific projects, we'll have additional needs:
USED items are wonderful! Please don't buy anything unless you really, really want to.
Here's a partial list of what would be helpful.

January Update

And just like that, we're back! There's a lot going on in January. Please see Mrs. Schaefer's blog for school-wide information. Students will be doing interim testing over several days this month, and they'll need to have charged, fully-functional, school-issued Chromebooks for these tests. If there's an issue with your student's Chromebook, have them fill out a work order. If they don't know how to do that, have them bring it to me and I'll walk them through the process.
