Trying Something New!

In an effort to get information to families in a timely manner, I'm experimenting with a blog within my website. :)

I hope you find this helpful and not annoying!

Upcoming Event:

PFISD Pfuture Ready: Family Event

The Pfuture Ready: Learn.Play.Planevent is designed for PfISD families (all grade levels) to learn about CTE, play with hands-on activities for each CTE program area, and plan their students’ postsecondary and career journey. The event features three major sections:

  • a “fair” where families can visit with business and postsecondary partners to learn more about the opportunities the offer students
  • presentations by workforce training, postsecondary, and district experts on postsecondary options, in-demand careers, PfISD CTE programs, and more
  • hands-on activities for children to explore the PfISD CTE programs

Please RSVP, if possible.

Friday Catapult Clubs:

Students will be attending self-selected clubs on Fridays during their Catapult time. My club is LEGOs. :) If you have old boxes of bricks gathering dust, I'd love to take them off your hands.

Classroom Needs:

Several parents have asked about specific needs for the classroom. Right now, I'm happy to accept any of the following, (and if you have other things that need a home, feel free to ask or send it!) As we get into more specific projects, we'll have additional needs:

December Update!

Hi All! It's December! :) Only 1.5 weeks left until break. I apologize for the layout of this information. I'm trying to get information out quickly, so it doesn't look "right". I hope to clean it up as the month goes on. ;) December Dates: Please check the Principal's Blog to catch any campus updates, like band concerts, school dances, etc. Friday, December 2: IPR4 ends. January Update

And just like that, we're back! There's a lot going on in January. Please see Mrs. Schaefer's blog for school-wide information. Students will be doing interim testing over several days this month, and they'll need to have charged, fully-functional, school-issued Chromebooks for these tests. If there's an issue with your student's Chromebook, have them fill out a work order. If they don't know how to do that, have them bring it to me and I'll walk them through the process.
